Who should work from the pub? When we think about remote workers or even the digital nomad, we conjure up images of the laptop. Yes, the pub is great for laptop working, but it’s equally good for musicians, crafters, poets, artists and designers to name a few. Pubs are too loud to work in: It all depends on when you visit and what you are doing. For the most part, a visit to the pub during the day is sedate. You are likely to be surrounded by people who are eating or are quietly catching up with their friends. Will the Wi-Fi be good enough? Pubs need to have good facilities to support their own business needs and that of their customers. We live in a world where Wi-Fi is a normal part of the pub space. If you are not sure, ask the publican what Wi-Fi arrangements they have in place.
Will I have to buy food or drinks while I am there? The publican will welcome all visitors to their pub, although they can only cater for paying customers. It might the publican has a Work From The Pub package that you can buy, or they may simply require you to purchase a drink or two while you use their pub and Wi-Fi. The best thing to do is toeither speak with the publican or have a look on their website.
